In implementation of the EU Buildings Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/1275), there are a number of documents that must be submitted to the European Commission by specified deadlines: Cost Optimality, Long Term Renovation Strategy (LTRS), National Building Renovation Plan (NGRP), Roadmap for the introduction of Total Cumulative Life Cycle Greenhouse Potential limits.

These documents are prepared by the OIB Guidelines 6 and 7 expert advisory committees at the OIB and submitted to the European Commission with the involvement of stakeholders and after obtaining the approval of the federal states’ governments. Their contents represent an EU legal obligation for Austria as a member state of the EU, but do not contain any specific individual requirements for stakeholders in Austria.
