Construction affects key public safety interests, such as the protection of life, health and the environment. An essential factor for this safety is the use of reliable and high-performance construction products. The EU Construction Products Regulation regulates whether a construction product may be marketed in the European Single Market and which criteria apply. In addition, national regulations of use for construction products must be taken into account.
The OIB supports economic operators in bringing construction products onto the market in compliance with the law – in Austria and throughout the EU single market. In its function as Austria’s only Technical Assessment Bodies (TAB), the OIB prepares approvals for construction products, European Technical Assessments and European Assessment Documents, which can be used as the basis for CE and ÃœA markings. Our work ensures that your products comply with both national and EU-wide requirements, as required.
