Can the results for final energy or primary energy demand and the equivalent carbon dioxide emissions become negative through the use of a photovoltaic system?
No, the results of accounting for a photovoltaic system cannot lead to negative outcomes; this applies to both final and primary energy demand, their renewable and non-renewable shares, and the equivalent carbon dioxide emissions.
Photovoltaic systems can cover up to 70% of the monthly energy demand in buildings primarily used during the day, and up to 60% of the monthly energy demand in buildings in use 24 hours a day. The 24-hour usage is determined based on the usage profiles specified in ÖNORM B 8110-5 (specifically residential buildings, hospitals, care facilities, and lodging establishments). When a battery storage system is used, these values increase by 10 percentage points.
Revenue that is not attributed to the building is reported as photovoltaic export revenue in accordance with the standard rules.
