
Expert know-how for a complete overview
The OIB offers comprehensive advice and information on the provisions applicable in Austria for the use of construction products, technical construction regulations and assessment methods for the provision of construction products on the domestic market.
As the Product Contact Point for Construction (PCPC), the OIB provides information free of charge in accordance with Article 10 of Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 (Construction Products Regulation), the OIB provides information free of charge on the technical construction requirements in Austria – in particular on the performance that a CE-marked construction product must achieve in Austria for a specific intended use.
Direct access to numerous databases, the construction materials lists and product information rounds off the extensive range of information offered by the OIB.
Inquiries to the Product Contact Point for Construction can be made by telephone, in person, in writing or by e-mail.
In addition, Regulation (EU) 2019/515 on the mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State has been in force since April 19, 2020. Its aim is to promote the free movement of goods within the European Union and to facilitate access to national markets for economic operators from other Member States. One measure for this is the provision of a central point of contact that offers clear, comprehensible and concise information on the legal situation in the respective Member State. In Austria, this is the OIB for construction products.
