European Organisation for Technical Assessments (EOTA)

The EOTA functions as “Organisation of Technical Assessment Bodies” pursuant to Article 31 of the EU Construction Products Regulation. The members of EOTA are all Technical Assessment Bodies nominated to the Commission by the member states. Pursuant to Article 31 of the EU Construction Products Regulation, EOTA is charged with the following responsibilities as an organisation of Technical Assessment Bodies:

• Coordination of the Technical Assessment Bodies
• Organisation of the exchange of experience between the Technical Assessment Bodies to improve quality and efficiency
• Coordination of the procedures for preparation of European Assessment Documents (EAD)
• Publication of the European Assessment Documents (EAD) and the references of European Technical Assessments
• Providing information to the Commission about all relevant questions regarding European Assessment Documents
