What rules apply to products/materials in contact with drinking water after 31.12.2026: Is certification in accordance with the EU Drinking Water Directive required in any case? How long may products with the ÃœA mark continue to be made available on the market and installed in Austria?

Products/materials in contact with drinking water according to Lfd. No. 15.2 may be made available on the market and installed in Austria until the end of the transitional period in accordance with the EU Drinking Water Directive on 31.12.2032 with the ÃœA mark on the basis of a valid Registration Certificate if the Registration Certificate was issued by 31.12.2026 at the latest and the ongoing external monitoring was carried out without interruption. New registration certificates can no longer be issued after 31.12.2026, but existing registration certificates can be extended.
