We are currently looking for a Consultant Market Surveillance for Construction Products (f/m/d)

Consultant for market surveillance of construction products (f/m/d)

Full-time (40h) | immediately

The Austrian Institute of Construction Engineering (OIB) is the coordination platform of the federal states for construction products and construction engineering. As the market surveillance authority , we ensure that construction products placed on the market in Austria meet all legal requirements and do not pose a risk to health and safety.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed, technically experienced person who likes to work in a structured manner, takes on responsibility and appreciates professional exchange in a national and European environment.

Your tasks – versatile & with impact:

  • Planning and creation of market surveillance programs
  • Carrying out official inspections of construction products (also on site)
  • Organization and monitoring of product tests (laboratory)
  • Risk assessment and initiation/ordering of measures
  • Cooperation with the Austrian customs office and other authorities in Austria and abroad
  • Participation in national and European committees
  • Support in drafting and reviewing legislative and regulatory texts

What you bring with you:

  • Completed civil engineering training (university/FH)
  • Very good understanding of technical standards, guidelines and sets of rules
  • Experience and expertise in the interpretation of national and European regulations
  • Structured way of working, good time management and quick comprehension skills
  • Reliability, accuracy, initiative and ability to work in a team
  • Confident handling of MS Office
  • Very good written and spoken English (B2)
